ACCOUNTANT CA (SA) - Granger Bay (Cape Town)

Position Summary:

Manage and control the day-to-day financial functions and internal projects of the group with a small, experienced accounting team. Responsible for interpreting and providing financial information, advice and support to the FD and the business units to enable them to make sound business decisions. Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal financial systems, controls, and processes to minimise financial risks and maximise operational performance.

 

Requirements of position:

  • Qualified BCom (Hons) in Accounting / Financial Management essential.
  • Recently qualified CA who is a self-starter with the ability to work in a high pressured environment.
  • Group financial accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years post articles hands-on relevant financial experience outside of an audit firm.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Pastel accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Excellent commercial and business experience.
  • High level of attention to detail, reliability and accuracy is a must.
  • Experience in multi-office reporting both local and abroad.
  • Market related salary commensurable with experience and qualifications.

EXPERIENCED BUILDING SERVICES MECHANICAL ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST - Granger Bay (Cape Town)

Requirements:

  • BSc / BEng / BTech – Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years building services experience (HVAC, Fire and Wet Services).
  • Design experience in HVAC, Wet Services and Fire systems.
  • Working knowledge of Revit 3D software.

SENIOR BOOKKEEPER / PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR - Granger Bay (Cape Town)

We seek the full-time service of a dynamic senior bookkeeper to start immediately.

The primary function of this position is to provide an efficient and an effective support role to the Financial Controller as well as support to the Finance / Operations team.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or related Bookkeeping qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, in a private sector consulting engineering environment would be a definite advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of Pastel Partner accounting and Sage / Pastel payroll software systems.
  • Basic knowledge of foreign payments.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle pressure.
  • Must be deadline driven.
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

 

Key Responsibilities of the position:

  • Manages books for the various business entities in the group.
  • Processes both local and international payrolls.
  • Processes both local and international payments.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Creditor reconciliations.
  • B-BBEE administration.

ASSISTANT PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR - Granger Bay (Cape Town)

We seek the full-time service of a dynamic assistant project administrator to start immediately.

The primary function of this position is to provide an efficient and an effective support role to the Senior Project Administrator as well as support to the Finance / Operations team.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years debtors and project administration experience in a private sector consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of Pastel Partner accounting and CaseWare software systems.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

 

Key Responsibilities of the position:

  • Capturing of invoices onto Pastel system.
  • Invoicing and distribution of monthly debtors’ statements.
  • Following up on outstanding debtors.
  • Reconciling of debtors and sales between CaseWare and Pastel.
  • Preparing tender documentation.
  • Preparing of fee proposals.
  • Preparing monthly debtors reports.
  • Preparing month-end reconciliations.
  • Checking and analysing timesheets in CaseWare.
  • Analysing projects in CaseWare.
  • Preparing contract documentation for review.

 

Salary:  

  • Commensurable with qualifications and experience.
